Kelly Sills

Kelly Sills has functioned as the owner and president of Coastal Bridge since he purchased it from his friend, neighbor and former boss in 2013. His tenure with the company extends nearly three decades, to when he was hired by his neighbor and started as a laborer at 17 years old. He even continued to work summers for the company when he was pursuing undergraduate education in Construction Engineering at Louisiana State University, the same institution where he also earned his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems and Decision Sciences.

Since leading the company, Kelly Sills has guided it to increased growth and revenue while maintaining the goal of expanding from southern Louisiana, further into Florida and along the eastern seaboard to the Carolinas.

Over the years, Coastal Bridge has won a number of National Quality in Construction awards. Kelly credits the high adaptability of employees, ability to find niche markets for which the company is qualified and perseverance in changing markets as a large part of the company’s success.

Kelly is active with fundraising and volunteering efforts for local charities. In addition to assisting with youth sports and helping the homeless, Coastal Bridge consistently supports City Year, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and helping students and schools succeed.

Contributions have also been made to the Baton Rouge Symphony, The National CASA/GAL (Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardian ad Litem) Association for Children, Special Olympics, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, and some sponsorships of Christian Life Athletics and Children’s International.

Kelly Sills is a family man who takes his responsibilities as a father of three boys, ages 17, 16 and 12 incredibly seriously. He practices his Roman Catholic faith with his sons and loves spending quality time on the water in a boat, going fishing. An athletic family, he also enjoys attending their soccer games, playing basketball or throwing a baseball around with them.
